Mukunda Lal Ghosh, later known as Paramahansa Yogananda, was an Indian-American Hindu monk and spiritual teacher renowned for his significant contributions to spreading the teachings of yoga and meditation in the Western world. Born in 1893 in India, Yogananda devoted his life to promoting the unity of science and spirituality, advocating for inner peace and self-realization. He founded the Self-Realization Fellowship (SRF) to disseminate his teachings and authored the spiritual masterpiece "Autobiography of a Yogi," which has profoundly inspired and influenced millions of people globally.
